On March 28, 2022，WGC2023 Organizing Committee (OC), Journal of Rock Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering (JRMGE) Editorial Department and the Responsible Person of the Guest Editor signed the “Special Issue Agreement by and between WGC2023 OC, Guest Editor and JRMGE” online. Mr. Han Zhiguo, Vice President of Sinopec Star, chaired and witnessed the online signing ceremony. Professor Zhou Hui, Responsible Person of the Guest Editor, Deputy Director of State Key Laboratory of Geomechanics and Geotechnical Engineering, Mr. Lin Songqing, Dean of JRMGE, Professor Liu Jinxia, Guest Editor, Chief Expert of Sinopec Star, and Professor Hu Dawei, researcher of the Institute of Rock and Soil Mechanics, Chinese Academy of Sciences attended the signing ceremony. Wang Yanxin, Director of Technology & IT Division, Sinopec Star, signed the agreement on behalf of WGC2023 OC.
Mr. Han Zhiguo said that the signing of the agreement would further stimulate the enthusiasm of global experts and scholars in the field of geothermal energy, expand the influence of WGC2023 in the global geothermal academic community, promote academic exchanges and progress, and contribute to a successful World Geothermal Congress.
According to the agreement, the Special Issue of JRMGR will focus on the exploitation and utilization of geothermal energy with Professor Zhou Hui, Professor Liu Jinxia, Mr. Andrew Seto, Vice President of Technology of Energi Simulation and Professor Hu Dawei as the Guest Editors, and the Guest Editors shall be responsible for review and acceptance of papers. Meanwhile, WGC2023 OC shall help facilitating and coordinating the publicity of the Special Issue. The Guest Editors of The Special Issue will send invitations to the authors of the WGC2023 high-quality papers, and invited authors may submit their papers through the special channel, set up in the name of the 7th World Geothermal Conference - Geothermal Energy Exploitation and Utilization on the JRMGE official website (http://www.jrmge.cn/). The paper submission deadline is 15th May, 2023, and the Special Issue will be published on 15 October, 2023.
